Wednesday, August 17 -- Windows, Interior Partitioning and More!

Sorry, had a late work night last night.  So here are tons of pictures to show you the amazing progress made at our worksite today.  The windows arrived yesterday, and Eric Busa and his team put them in today.  This, and the major interior partitioning work done yesterday and today really has put a lot of definition in the home addition.  We are really getting a great idea of what the interior is going to look like.  Also, thanks to Eric and Eric providing great suggestions on how to make improvements to the architectural design.

We also had a new addition to Eric work crew today, Corey.  Welcome to this blog!  A pic to come soon.

Anyway, here are some pics.

An exterior view from the backyard with the windows installed!!

Another exterior view from the backyard of the addition with windows installed.

Eric Busa negotiating to get better subcontractor rates for this home addition (I hope). :)

Eric DeSilva and Derrick working on the trim roofing for the new second floor bedroom. Check out the shorts!

Eric Busa instructing Anthony on the proper installation of windows.  The windows look great as you can see from the later pics.

A view of the windows installed in the family room.  Different perspectives, and great views!

Interior partitioning of the master bathroom.  Here shall the jacuzzi go.

A view of the octagonal window in the family room from the master bedroom.  You can also get an idea of where the balcony is going.  Eric Busa gave me a glimpse of what he was thinking for the balcony.  I think these are great ideas.  Can't wait to show you as its happening.

Another view of the octagonal window:

Eric DeSilva, I'm guessing worked his magic in the walk-in closet.  I think we are shooting for built-in shelves here in the "wasted" space.  Great idea Eric.

The guys also started removing some of the siding as well.  We are going to insulate then redo the siding for the entire house.  Apparently our old house has no insulation (other than the exterior walls...)

Thanks again to the whole gang, and Eric Busa especially.  Our whole family is excited.

Next time I will discuss our whole cabinets, jacuzzi, appliances, etc.   Have some interesting things to share with you.
