My last day of my staycation saw a lot of pieces coming together. Eric D. and Derrick from Eric Busa's crew continued with the siding. Scott from TriScapes poured in and finished the concrete floor to the garage. Frankie came in to start the rough ins for the HVAC system. And Paul Mace and Marc Buvair came in to do the rough mechanics for the plumbling. It was a busy day, and it was great for my kids and myself to see some real cool work being done.
Here are some pics:
A view from the street -- the siding is complete on the right side of the house.
Eric D. posing for the camera:
The concrete mixer sending the mix to the garage floor!
Scott preparing the garage floor:
Eric Busa helping Scott with the concrete floor. As a note, when Scott was doing this, there were about 4 adults and 2 kids watching in amazement.
Scott further finishing off the floor.
Eric's idea for my kids to put their handprints (and he also provided the lucky 2011 quarter!)
Scott came back Saturday AM with the saw to put cuts in the concrete -- will try to show a better pic when I can get in there -- to make sure that the concrete doesn't crack as it expands/contracts.
HVAC vents roughed in.. and you can see that we're going with the plastic (CPVC?) vs' copper for our water lines.
More rough HVAC put in by Frankie.
Looking forward to another week. Kids start school, and I'm back at work. Next post will be some info regarding the Massachusetts Military Heros Fund. Please consider helping out. Everyone working out on this project (including us) will be...
